The Cyclone Filter Cleaner accommodates standard pool filters with 3", 4" & 6" openings. This covers most pool filter models with the exception of Pentair FullFlowXF 620 sq ft filters.  These are too tall, you may contact support for an alternative solution.  Additionally the very large Sta Rite filters do not work with Cyclone systems at this time, however, reach out to support to be notified when our solution becomes available.

Cyclone Filter Tools warrants the product to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for one year (365) days from date of original purchase. If the buyer meets these requirements we will replace free of charge the product or parts, provided that the original purchaser contacts support.

No! We like to say getting wet is optional!  By following our recommended procedure to clean filters, you will have full control over the spinning speed.  We recommend spinning at a slow and controlled speed which will get the filters cleaner and is very efficient.  Slow and controlled will not get you messy and wet.

A wobbling filter happens more often with older filters.  As they age they become more unbalanced and tend to wobble more than new filters.  This can be resolved by spinning your filter at the recommended rate of 1-2 rotations per second.  This is achieved by aiming the spray toward the center of the filter.  The slow rotation stops the wobbling and allows water to penetrate deeper into the filter folds.

On average, you can expect to cut your time cleaning the filters by 50%. In some cases customers have reported 5X faster cleaning!

Stronger water pressure will allow you to clean your filters faster. But weak water pressure, while not ideal, is still able to spin your filter as you clean it and keep you from bending over.

For "quad pool filters" we recommend cleaning once per quarter (4 times per year).  This ensures that your filter gets cleaned before it becomes very clogged with debris and impedes water flow.

For single-element filters we recommend cleaning once a month during swim season and every 6 weeks if the pool is not in use.

Yes.  Be careful not to trip or fall on the secured rod and make sure other people and pets are safe around the filter cleaning area you have selected.  Always monitor children if you allow them to clean filters with the Cyclone Filter Cleaner so they use it in a safe manor.  Always collapse the tripod stand when finished and store it in a dry area when not in use.
